Manuel “Herm” Fedrizzi, 88 of Jordan passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Syracuse to Constance and Louie Fedrizzi. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Rosina Zingaro Fedrizzi and their four children, Cathy (John) Meixner, Susan (Michael) Speach, Robert (Kathy) Fedrizzi and Christopher (fiancé Janice) Fedrizzi. Their  grandchildren are Michael, Melissa, David, Connie, Kyle, Gabriella, Tyler, and four great grandchildren. Two brothers Joseph (Delores), Carl (Fran) and sister-in-law Ruth. Herm was predeceased by his parents, brother Louie and his granddaughter Theresa. Herm was proud of all J-E students. Whether they were part of athletics, band, drama, academics or reading to the elementary school kids. He was recognized in 2003 on the Wall of Honor in the J-E High School. He was an active volunteer for the Jordan Fall Festival, J-E Booster Club, and Msgr. Meaney Council of the Knights of Columbus. Herm graduated from Solvay High School in 1947 and was named to the All-County football team. He worked as a milk-man and ice cream maker for Silverbrook Dairy from 1951-1963.While delivering milk in Jordan, he met his partners in horse racing. He trained and raced horses at the old State Fair horse track. Herm worked as a Superintendent for Ballard Construction and retired in 1991. His side hobby was dipping potato chips in chocolate for Speach Candy. Special thanks to Hospice of CNY, Upstate Geriatrics and Marianne Porter for the loving care they provided.

Calling hours will be 3-7pm Monday at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St.(Rt. 5) Elbridge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Tuesday in St. Patrick’s Church, N. Main St. Jordan. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cystic Fibrosis of CNY, 2507 James St. Suite 106, Syracuse, NY 13206
