Waltraud J. (Knauss) Forward

Waltraud Forward, 89, passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2025. She has left this world to be with her Savior Jesus Christ and her beloved family in heaven. Born to Christian and Paulina Knauss in Göppingen Germany on December 12, 1935, she came to America in 1955 and married Frederick Forward. They were long time members of the Elbridge Community Church and together they raised four sons and ran the Forward Farms, a dairy farm and farm market in Camillus NY, until their retirement in 2004.

She is survived by her brother Juergen Knauss of Camillus and four sons, Michael (Donna) Forward of Camillus, Peter (Rachel) Forward of East Nassau NY, David (Barb) Forward of Watertown NY, and Douglas Forward of Thorndale PA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The calling hours will be at the Bush Funeral Home, 120 E. Main St. Elbridge on Wednesday April 23, 2025 4-7 pm. A funeral and memorial service will be held at the Elbridge Community Church, Thursday April 24, 2025 at 10 am. Donations may be made to Hospice of CNY.
