Verna L. Walker (86) passed away suddenly on December 6th at Auburn Community Hospital following a brief illness.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth Walker; son, Dwayne Walker; second husband, Ronald Black, her mother and father and many of her siblings.
Left to keep her memory alive are daughter, Jearldean (Albert) Gray; grandson, Kenneth (Belynda) Walker; grandson, David (Tina) King; granddaughter, Alli Walker; niece, Lesa (Richard) Angle; brother, Jerry Smith; sister, Hazel Cummings; sister, Grace Chamberlain; sister, Glenda Whitehead; brother, Danny Smith; sister, Dorothy Perry; brother, Clyde Smith; and many more grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
Verna was born in Taylor NY in 1939. She married Kenneth in 1957. They shared two children together. She worked at Smith Corona in Cortland until it closed.
They moved to Florida in 1984 where she spent most of her glory days in Boynton Beach/West Palm Beach area. She was self-employed as a housekeeper for the rich people. She loved that job and all her clients (which she had many).
Aside from the housekeeping hobby, she also enjoyed Nascar, Buffalo Bills, bowling and game shows.
Calling hours will be 1-3pm Saturday, Dec. 20th at the Bush Funeral Home, 120 E. Main St., Elbridge, NY
