On January 21, 2021, Mrs. Theresa Burton passed peacefully in the presence of her family. She was born Theresa Regis in New York, New York on December 9, 1932. She grew up in Port Byron, New York, and was married to her loving husband of 50 years, Mr. Henry Burton who passed in 2001.
Theresa is proudly self-described as housewife and mother who lived most of her life with her family in Jordan, New York. She was the bookkeeper for the family’s former business, Burton’s Mobil in Camillus, New York, and was actively involved in her parish as a Religious Instructor, member of The Altar and Rosary Society, and participated in organizing the funeral meals at her church.
She is survived by her four adult children and their families, Mr. Henry M. Burton, Mr. Gary J. Burton, Mr. Thomas J. Burton, and Mrs. Angela M. Colonna (nee Burton); daughters-in-law, Mrs. Linda Burton (nee DeMasi), Mrs. Roxanne Burton (nee Clark); son-in-law, Mr. Bud Colonna; nine grandchildren, Henry M. Burton II, Mrs. Marshella Carlozzi (nee Burton), Mr. Jon Burton, Mr. Tyler Burton, Mr. Kyle Burton, Ms. Kiana Colonna, Ms. Nikole Colonna, Ms. Sarah E. Burton, and Mr. Sean M.T. Burton; and, five great grandchildren, Oliver and Charlie Burton, Valerie and Henry Carlozzi, and Cameron Burton.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 28 N. Main Street, Jordan, New York on Monday, January 25, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be provided to the St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Restoration Fund, at the above
