Stanley J. TenEyck, 96, of Jacks Reef passed away Sunday Dec. 18, 2022 . Stan was born November 30, 1926 to Stanley and Dorothy TenEyck of Jordan.
Stan served in WWII as a Merchant Seaman. He retired in 1988 after working 40 years from the Operating Engineers Local Union 545. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jordan and the Plainville Fire Department. In 2016 at the age of 89 he was the nation’s second oldest life guard employed at the Auburn YMCA. Stan was a boat racer in the 1950s and was a member of the National Model Railroad association since 1972. As an avid canoe, kayaker and camper he spent many summer and fall seasons on Eighth Lake in the Adirondacks. He was preceded in death by his wife Clare and brother Arthur. He is survived by his children Jeffrey (Sallee) TenEyck of Summerhill, Nena (Robert) Zieschang of Jordan and Kellie (Bill) Cheney of Jacks Reef, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 3-6pm Monday Dec. 26th at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. Elbridge with a service to follow at 6pm with the Rev. Thomas Bell officiating. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Jordan.
