Sharon Quimby, 77, of Jordan passed away Jan. 23rd at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a heart attack. She had been battling heart disease for many years. Sharon graduated from Jordan-Elbridge Class of 1967. She was formerly employed at P&S, Textiles, Crosible Filtration and later managed the Brutus Liquor Store. Sharon had a great love for nature and fed all of God’s creatures, ducks, geese, raccoons, even foxes. It didn’t matter because they were all hungry. Sharon was predeceased by her parents Mark & Pearl, her sister Joan Couch, her brother Mark Jr., her nephew Jim Couch Jr, and niece Bonny Richardson. Surviving are her husband Dennis SanEmeterio, niece Patty (Dave) Maitland, her dog Mattie, and her best friends Sue Zmarthie and Cindy Mott.
Calling hours will be 4-7pm Monday, April 13th at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. Elbridge. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 10am Tuesday, April 14th in St. Patrick Church, Jordan. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY, Auburn. “Heaven is a room full of puppies”
