Rosina Rose (Zingaro) Fedrizzi

Rosina “Rose” Zingaro Fedrizzi, 93, of Jordan passed away peacefully at home.  Born in Solvay on December 14, 1928 to the late Theresa (Spicciati)&Luigi Zingaro and graduated from Solvay/Hazard High School, the last class in 1947.  Rose will always be remembered as the heart of the family.  She treasured the outdoors & gardening on the farm, watching her grandchildren’s activities, involved w/ the Jordan Study Club & St. Patrick’s Altar & Rosary, making chocolate at Speach Candy Family Shoppe, and entertaining and enjoying the company of her extended family hosting the annual Zingaro Spring gathering and the Fedrizzi Polenta Sunday.

Rose was predeceased by her loving husband, Manual “Herm” Fedrizzi of 66 years who passed away in 2016, son-in-law, Michael Speach and granddaughter, Theresa Meixner.   Her 8 brothers & sisters, Carmella Plants, Anne Fantacone, Assunta Ranieri, Michael Zingaro, John Zingaro, Lucy Malvasi, Nicholas Zingaro & Louis Zingaro.

She is survived by her 4 children, Cathy (John) Meixner of Jordan, Sue Speach of Liverpool, Robert (Kathy) Fedrizzi of Onondaga Hill, Christopher Fedrizzi of Jordan; 7 grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Connie, David, Kyle, Gabriella & Tyler; 5 great-grandchildren, Joey, Carter, Cameron, Jackson & Rosina.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Mary Daye, Marianne Porter, Tina Dann and physical therapists, Luke & Sue for their loving care for Rose.

Calling hours will be in St. Patrick’s Church, 28 N. Main St. Jordan on Saturday from 9 to 11:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Jordan.
