Ronald Monroe Chapman, 77, of Jordan, died peacefully in his sleep at 2:32 am on July 23, 2021 while at home surrounded by his loving family. He is proceeded in death by his father, Fay Chapman. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Deborah Chapman; mother Helen Chapman; twin sister Connie Smith; sons Eric Chapman (Anngela) and Mark Chapman (Shauna): grandchildren Anna Chapman and Ethan Chapman. Ron is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served honorably in the US Army achieving the rank of Sergeant.Ron graduated from York College earning his undergraduate degree in Business Administration while working full-time and helping to raise his young children. Ron was an avid outdoorsman and truly enjoyed hunting white-tailed deer with family and friends at a hunting camp in East Pharsalia, NY. In addition to hunting, he was a diehard bass fisherman and enjoyed fishing for largemouth particularly at the family camp on Otisco Lake and on Lake June, Florida over the winter months often with his wife alongside him in the boat. He was a man of few words but when he spoke it was profound. He will be missed dearly by those who knew him and will be cherished by those who called him Husband, Dad, Son, and Poppi. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Elbridge Community Church. Calling hours will be 1-2 pm Wednesday , July 28th at the Elbridge Community Church 109 East Main St. Funeral service will follow at 2pm. Burial with Military Honors will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
