Rich passed away peacefully at his home in Baldwinsville on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He was born in Syracuse to Ed and Doris Lewis on August 4, 1951. He grew up in Memphis, NY and graduated from Jordan-Elbridge High School. Rich spent his career in the transportation field, working for several companies throughout the years. He was a very hardworking and loyal man who truly loved driving the big rigs, and he took great pride in knowing he played an important role in getting products where they needed to go, safely and reliably.

Rich was a loving, caring and devoted husband to Patricia for 54 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, NASCAR and going to the car/street rod shows. After retirement, Rich and Pat spent much time enjoying traveling in their RV. He was very proud of his son Jason. They were both incredibly hardworking and shared a special bond working on automobiles, especially his own street rod. His grandchildren were truly the light of his life. He felt time with them was precious and joyful especially when at camp. His smile and laughter were all his own, along with his (sometimes unfiltered) sense of humor.  All of which will be missed. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Donald, sisters Carol Ann Lewis and Janet Lyon, sister-in-law Diane Lewis and niece Debrah Lyon. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Daley Lewis, son Jason (Amber) Lewis, grandchildren AJ Lewis, Braydon Lewis, Angela Lewis, and Lilly Lewis. He was a favorite uncle to several of his nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 1-3pm Saturday, March 21st at the Warners United Methodist Church, 6414 Canton Street, Warners with a service to follow at 3pm. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Warners will be later in the spring
