Mary Ellen Ceratt, 96, of Jordan, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025.
Born on November 14, 1929, she was the daughter of Harold and Mildred Harmon of Weedsport. Mary Ellen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph , in 2005, as well as her brother, Harold, in 1950.
Mary Ellen enjoyed bowling, reading, knitting, and spending time with her daughters. She especially loved boating with her husband and friends through the Jack Reef Boat Club. She spent several years volunteering at the Jordan Fall Festival in the Ladies’ Fair Booth. Mary Ellen worked at H.G. Ceratt Inc. before retiring from the Jordan-Elbridge School District as a bus driver.
She is survived by her three daughters: Susan Daniluk, Sandra (Keith) Chilson, and Sharon (Robert) Morsdorf. Mary Ellen was a proud and loving grandmother to nine grandchildren and
cherished by eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
A private service will be held, with burial at Greenlawn Cemetery in Warners, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Jordan Ambulance, 1 N. Hamilton St., Jordan, NY 13080.
