Mary M. Bowen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19th, at the age of 77, surrounded by the love of her family.

Mary was a woman of great spirit and strength, known for her feisty nature, stubborn determination, and endless love for her family. She truly found joy in life’s simple pleasures- years spent camping at Brennan Beach, tending to her garden and flowers, and making the most incredible meals for her family.

Her greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren, who she loved unconditionally and were the heart of her world. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, love and cherished memories that will live on in our hearts.

Mary was predeceased by the love of her life, husband, John P. Bowen Sr., her parents, William and Wanda Gorman, her sisters, Barbara Ramos and Jeanne Gorman, and her brothers, Ted E. Gorman and David W. Gorman.

She is survived by her daughter and favorite son in law, Jeannine and Gary Goodrich, her son, John P. Bowen Jr. (Jenny Bullock); her beloved grandchildren, Katie Goodrich (Taran Cady), Gage Goodrich (Mariah Lewis), and Alex Bowen (Kati Herbs); her sisters, Nancy Wheeler of Lyles, TN, and Anne (Harry) Mills of Oswego; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the Elbridge Fire Department.
