Leora A. (Traver) Chilson, age 74, of Baldwinsville, passed away December 6, 2022 at her home. She was a resident of Baldwinsville NY, a graduate of Jordan Elbridge High School and a graduate of Onondaga Community College. She served as the director of JE Country Kids Daycare for the past 35 years and had been responsible for nurturing generations of our young children. She was still working at the time of her death. During her life she survived breast cancer and heart disease and inspired those who knew her with her unending kindness and faith.  She enjoyed traveling with her loved ones, caring for her grand-children, and giving the most wonderful gifts.  Her generosity and love will be cherished by her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Madeline and Andrew Traver, as well as brothers Bruce, Fred, and Andrew Traver. She is survived by former husband David Chilson of Elbridge NY, and children: James Chilson, Melinda Hawley (Peter) and Daniel Chilson. Her children were the highlight of her life and she loved them unconditionally. She is survived by her grandchildren in whom she took great pride: Skylar Chilson-Wood, Eve Chilson-Wood, Petra Hawley, and Jaxon Hawley; also survived by her sibling Joseph (Estella) Traver of Onondaga Hill, NY.

Calling hours will be 3-6pm Monday, December 12, 2022 at Jordan United Methodist Church, 63 Elbridge Street with Funeral Services at 6pm and reception to follow. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Jordan. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Vera House in her name for Domestic Violence.
