Karen White, of Elbridge, passed away peacefully at Auburn Rehab and Nursing Home on March 14, 2020 with family present at the age of 74.
Karen was born to Frederick “Ted” and Mary Elizabeth “Bette” Platt on April 24, 1945 in Auburn, NY. She lived in Manlius where she and her family resided for 14 years before moving back to the Elbridge area.
Karen was a real estate broker for Coldwell Banker All-Bridge Realty for 31 years. In addition to selling real estate, she also served as the Director of the Elbridge Free Library from 1981 until her death. A job she truly cherished.
Karen is pre-deceased by her daughter Lizabeth Mary White , her father Ted and mother Bette. She leaves behind two daughters, Colleen White and Heather White Wixson (Pete Rusyniak) her grandchildren Ashley Wixson of Rochester and Conner Wixson of Marcellus. Also, her sisters Terry Brown (Bob) of Minoa, Marcia Holbrook (Bruce) of Skaneateles Falls and Meghan Platt of Syracuse, four nephews, two great nieces, several cousins and many friends.
There will be a private graveside service at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Skaneateles at a time convenient for the family. There will be memorial at a date to be determined.
