John A. DiRisio, 78, of Jordan passed away Saturday at the Commons on St. Anthony. Born in Auburn, he was the son of Albert and Gladys Clements DiRisio. John was a graduate of Jordan High School and he served in the US Air Force following high school. He retired from the Onondaga County Parks Department after 20 years and he also worked at Kirnan Real Estate. John was an avid hunter and he greatly enjoyed fishing. He was a devoted husband and father. John was predeceased by a son Donald in 1987.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years Dale Boice, his daughter Emily, brothers Phillip (Brenda) and Frederick (Martha Machin), sisters Eleanor Ommani, Jean Spencer, Karen DiRisio, and Marjorie (Doug) DiRisio Duger, several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 4-7pm Tuesday at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. (Rt. 5) Elbridge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10am Wednesday in St. Patrick’s Church, Jordan. The Rite of Committal and burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Jordan Ambulance Fund or the JE Food Pantry. Masks and social distancing will be required.
