Jonane Rae Jewell, 93, of Elbridge went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 22nd. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, Joanne leaves behind a legacy of faith in God, love and devotion to family. Born March 7,1931 to J. Parker and Vera House, she was a graduate of Jordan High School. She attended CCBI and was a secretary at Smith-Corona in Syracuse until she married Walter on July 1, 1950.  Joanne and Walter just celebrated their 74th Wedding Anniversary.

A woman of deep Faith, Joanne was a life-long member of First Baptist Church of Memphis where she served in many capacities over the years. Anyone that knew Joanne loved her and her kind spirit.

Joanne is survived by her husband, Walter and her children David (Phyllis) Jewell and Elaine (David) Reilley; Grandchildren Doug Jewell, Jay Jewell, Jacob (Amanda) Reilley and Brooke (Connor) Smart. 6 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Richard House and her sister Gerry Greenwood as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 27,2024 from 4:00-7:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Memphis, 1960 West Genesee Turnpike, Elbridge, NY 13060. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, September 28,2024 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church of Memphis. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Jordan.
