Joan L. (Morey) Nevin

Joan L. (Morey) Nevin, 89, of Jordan passed away peacefully on Thursday July 30, 2026 at her home.

She is survived by her husband John A. Nevin Sr, her children John A. Nevin Jr and Peter Nevin and her sister Jill Morey Syracuse.

She has 3 grandchildren John A. Nevin III, Nichole Nevin Fasano, Raquel Nevin and 11 great grandchildren.

Joan was a graduate of Jordan High school Class of 1954.
She worked in the Insurance business for 65 years retiring at the age of 82.

She volunteered at the Jordan Library and the First Baptist Church of Jordan.  She was a great cook and recordkeeper.

She knew everyone’s birthday, phone number and address.  She continued sending birthday cards until the end and was lost to the computer generation being as "old fashioned" and "proper" as she was.

She loved her lottery and scratch off cards. Private graveside services will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
