Jo Ann Warner Obituary

        Jo Ann Keown Warner, 84, died Monday April 28th 2025, in Portland, Oregon, after a brief illness.  A native of Jordan, New York, Jo Ann was born May 17, 1940 to Joan O’Brien Keown and James Keown in Stamford, Connecticut.  She was a 1958 graduate of Jordan High School and a 1962 graduate of LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York.

        On November 30, 1963, Jo Ann married David Higgins Warner of Moravia, New York.  Together they had three children.  After moving to Metairie, Louisiana in 1974, Jo Ann worked many years for the Jefferson Parish Library System until her retirement in 2006.  She enjoyed travels with her family and a good mystery, whether in a book or on television.

        Jo Ann is survived by her children Thomas Warner, Kathleen (Warner) Jenevein, and Daniel Warner, and her three grandchildren Madigan, Reagan, and Carson Warner, and her nephews and niece James Prevost, Michael Prevost, and Julie Prevost.  She is predeceased by her parents, her husband David, and her sister Margaret Keown Prevost.

        A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered10am on Friday, May 16th, 2025 at St. Patrick Church in Jordan, New York, with the Rite of Committal and burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Jordan.
