Jean Dorchester Hill, formerly of Elbridge and Marcellus passed away
peacefully at Bellevue Village at Woodstock in Woodstock, GA at the
age of 92. Jean leaves behind a legacy of volunteer work in the
community of Elbridge. Throughout her volunteer years, she devoted
hundreds of hours to organizations including Elbridge Community
Church, Girl Scouts of America, Elbridge Elementary PTA and others.
Her volunteer work with children included both teaching Sunday
School and leading Girl Scout Troop #75 for nearly 20 years. Her
dedication to children resulted in her receiving the Thanks Badge, one
of the highest adult honors awarded by the Girl Scouts of America and
the PTA Life Membership.
Jean enjoyed many winters at Southern Aire RV Park in
Thonotosassa, Florida where her work as Concerns Chairperson
extended beyond cards and notes to an always available listening ear.
Jean's creativity was expressed in her participation in choral groups,
her many award winning paintings, and her performances as an
emcee and in humorous skits.

Jean is survived by her children Nancy Elliott (Charles) of
Georgetown, DE, Linda Kimbrough (Jonathan) of Marietta, GA and
Roger Hill (Christine) of Skaneateles, NY and her sister Coralie
Cavanaugh of Vestal, NY. She is also survived by her pride and joy,
her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, as well as several
nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Hill and
daughter Mary Alice Ouderkirk.
