James Ivan Thomas, 88, of Skaneateles died Oct. 2nd surrounded by family. He was born in Auburn to Elon and Hazel Thomas. Jim was a 1956 graduate of Port Byron High School and he served in the Army Reserves. Jim worked for P & C Foods as a produce manager before retiring in 1996 after 38 years with the company. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Skaneateles.
He was predeceased by brothers Donald, Gerald and Roland and a nephew Gary Thomas all of Auburn.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years Patricia Warner Thomas, daughter Sharon (Kevin) Kilduff, granddaughter Christina Higginson of St. Petersburg, FL, brother Leroy of Maryland, sister Joan Thomas and sister-in-law Glenon Thomas of Auburn, several nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be 9:30am to 10:30am Saturday, Oct. 12th in Burrows Chapel, Lakeview Cemetery, Skaneateles with a service to follow at 10:30 am, Rev. Andrea Simmons officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SAVES of Skaneateles or the United Methodist Church of Skaneateles.
