James (Jim) R. Surdam, 66, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 11. He was pre-deceased by his sister Pamela J. Wilbur. The son of the late Beverly and Fredrick Surdam, Jim graduated from Skaneateles Central School in 1976 and served his country as an enlistee in the United States Navy.

Jim is survived by his children Elizabeth (Matt) Williams of Baldwinsville and Timothy Surdam of Waterloo, his grandchildren Isaiah, Noah and Harper and his siblings: Gail L. Surdam of Mottville; Daniel (Margaret) R. Surdam of Skaneateles; Kimberly (Robbie) A. Hazouri of Lawtey, Fla.; and Tammy M. Surdam of Auburn; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Honoring the wishes of the family, a memorial service was not held.
