Hildegard E. (Gobel) Gunnip

Hildegard E. Gunnip, 88, of Jordan, NY, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at The Commons on St. Anthony.

She was born in Schweinfurt, Germany, daughter of the late Maria and Friedrich Gobel.

She worked at Murphy’s in Fairmount Fair for 12 years, then cleaned houses for 25 years. She enjoyed watching her soaps, her bowling leagues at Rainbow Lanes, and was proud of her German heritage.

She is predeceased by her parents, her 8 siblings, her husband of 62 years, Francis P. Gunnip, her daughter Patty Stevenson, and son, Frederick Gunnip. Surviving are two sons, Frank (Treva) Gunnip of Anchorage, AK, Jim (Liz) Gunnip of Elbridge, NY, her daughter Bridgette (Grant) Whitford of Elbridge, NY, 12 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service and burial will be held in the spring
