Gerald (Jerry) Swanson, 77, of Jordan passed away after a brief illness on January 31, 2023 surrounded by his family. Jerry was born Oct. 22, 1945 to the late Henry and Alice (Sabourin) Swanson in Saint Regis Falls, NY. Jerry is survived by his beautiful wife 44 years, Veronica (Votra) Swanson and their three children, Christopher J. Prosonic (Khati), Darcy Swanson Beers (Theodore) and Dayna Swanson McShane (Peter), and brother Norman Swanson. Jerry was the proud grandfather to Colin Beers, Ridley McShane, and Kylie Beers. Jerry was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge. He spent more than 45 years in the automotive industry (H.O. Clark, Clark Automotive, Advanced Automotive and Advantage Automotive). He loved to vacation in coastal North Carolina, spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, carpentry, playing the guitar, baking apple pies, target shooting, watching westerns and playing disc golf. He was a faithful parishioner and usher at St. Patrick’s Church, Jordan.

Jerry lived his life to the fullest and flashed his dynamic smile whenever he could. Calling hours will be 4-7pm Friday, Feb. 10th at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. Elbridge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Saturday, Feb. 11th in St. Patrick’s Church. Spring burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
