Emma J. Alger passed away peacefully at home in Camillus, NY on September 10, 2025. A 1948 graduate of Camillus High School, Emma raised 2 children after being widowed at age 25. She retired after 30 years with the United States Postal Service in 1990. Her second career began the same year at Raulli & Sons working part time as a bookkeeper until 2020 when she retired at the age of 90. Her retirement years were spent enjoying her time reading, coloring in books and doing word puzzles. Emma was in companionship and later cared for by her daughter Debra.
She is predeceased by her first husband Donald W. Kuepper, Sr. and second husband Robert Alger. She is survived by her daughter Debra J. Kuepper (Robert Bengar) Camillus, son Donald W. Kuepper, Jr. (Kathleen Capp) Kirkville, grandson Ryan W. Kuepper (Erin Tiffany) Pennellville, brothers Gilbert Lovell (Elaine) Auburn, Gordon Lovell (Lou Maslow) Seattle, WA, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A private graveside ceremony will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice CNY or a charity of your choosing will be appreciated.
