Colleen Marie White

Colleen Marie White, 58, of Elbridge passed away peacefully on June 15. 2021 at her group home on Whistlestop Lane, Elbridge, NY. She was born 11/19/1962 to Karen Platt White and Milton A. White. Colleen was the eldest of 3 daughters of that marriage, but became the eldest of 4 from her father’s second marriage to Catherine White Bush. She loved life to the fullest. Always a smile, joke or a hug for all. For the 30 of 37 years, Colleen has lived at the group home due to a car accident in 1984 that claimed the life of her sister Lizabeth M. White and left her with a traumatic brain injury. Colleen was also predeceased  by grandparents Edward and Gladys White and  Ted and Betty Platt, father Milton White, mother Karen White, uncle Edward White.

Surviving are sisters Heather White Wixson (Pete Rusyniak) and Cate White Furney (Dave), step mother Catherine White Bush, aunts and uncles Michael White (Kathy), Gary White (Michelle), Jackie Rogers, Kay White, Terry Brown (Robert), Marcia Holbrook (Bruce), Meghan Platt, nieces and nephews Ashley L. Wixson, Conner J. Wixson and Talia R. Furney and many cousins.  

Special acknowledgement to her second family at her group home who cared and loved her over the years.

Friends and family are invited to graveside services 11am Tuesday, June 22nd in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Skaneateles with the Rev. Thomas Bell officiating. Contributions may be made to the Elbridge Library in memory of Colleen and her mother Karen.
