Colin E. “Smokey” Taft, 77, of Elbridge passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at home. Born in Sodus, Smokey lived in Auburn before moving to Elbridge 20 years ago. He was a former truck driver and later employed at Walmart. Smokey served in the US Army from 1966 until he was honorably discharged in 1972. He was a long time member of the Swietoniowski-Kopeczek American Legion Post 1324 in Auburn. He was predeceased by his parents Jessie and Cherri Taft and recently by his brother Calvin. Surviving are 2 daughters Dawn Hollenbeck and Coleen Taft, 5 sisters Debbie, April, Carol, Brenda, Marilyn and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews and close friends Laurie and Brian Cirigliano. Friends and family are invited to call 1-3pm Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Bush Funeral Home, 120 E. Main St. Elbridge. Military honors will be presented at 3:00pm. Private burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery
