Clayton J. Allen Sr. (Joe), 68, of Elbridge, NY went to be with the Lord on September 6 after a long illness.
Joe was born in Syracuse in 1951 to parents Clayton and Rita. He graduated from Henninger High in 1969. He retired from SU after 40 years of service from the Physical Plant/ RDSS maintenance departments.
He enjoyed fishing, bowling, wrestling and spending time with his family and friends. He had a larger than life personality and loved to make everyone laugh. He especially enjoyed the laughter produced by his alter ego “Dilbert” and picking on his beloved “Dingies”, “Squirrel”, “Skankus” and “Feets”.
He is survived by his loving wife Eda, daughter Lauri, son Clayton Jr, 5 bonus children, sister Rita, brother Sam, several Grandchildren, a Great Grandson, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be 4-7pm Thursday, Sept. 12th at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. (Rt. 5) Elbridge. Funeral service will be 11am Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. A gathering following the funeral will be at the Jordan Elbridge Community Center, Rt. 31, Jordan. All are welcome to attend.
