Carol Edith (Henry) Youngs

Carol Edith (Henry) Youngs of Jordan, NY passed away on June 8,2023. She was 89. Carol was born on March 15,1934 to Thomas and Marjorie Henry in Reeds Corners, NY, a small hamlet near Canandaigua. She graduated from Gorham High School of the Seneca, Ontario, Gorham Central School District in Gorham, NY in 1951. She married her childhood sweetheart Kenneth Youngs in 1956 at the Reeds Corners Congregational Church going on to have four children; David, Andrew, Timothy and Jeffrey. Kenneth and Carol have been married for over 66 years. Carol was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her. Carol loved to garden, although the weeds often got away from her. She also loved canning and preserving the bounty from Kenny’s vegetable garden. Her amazing sweet pickles will be sorely missed. Carol was predeceased by her older sister Shirley Fileatreau and her grandson Beau Youngs. Carol is survived by her younger sister Kay Henry. Carol has four grandchildren: Lyza Youngs, Raina Youngs, Thomas Youngs and Katherine Youngs. She has three great-grandchildren from Lyza: Jenna, Anthony and Gordon.
