Betty Showens, 97, 0f Powerhouse Road, Memphis died Monday, June 29th at home after losing her battle with Congestive Heart failure. Born in Lysander, she was the daughter of Gladys Behling Wagner and Lester L. Wagner. She was happily married to her husband of over forty years James E. Showens who predeceased her in 1985. Surviving is her loving daughter Linda K. Showens of the same address.
Betty was a “fighter” who loved life, adventurous travels, sewing, crafts, reading and her pets.
There are no calling hours or a funeral service at her request.
Contributions in her honor may be made to Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY, Auburn, in remembrance of her beloved Jake or CNY SPCA, Syracuse in remembrance of her beloved Sparky.
