Avis M. Tompkins, 69, of Memphis (town of Elbridge) passed away Monday, March 28, 2022 at Upstate University Hospital. Born in Lowville, Avis moved to the area following her marriage May 26, 1973 to Carl H. Tompkins. She was a stay at home mom raising two daughters and providing a loving home for Carl and the family. Avis was an avid gardener and an animal lover. She enjoyed her horse, cats, and dogs. Visits to the Wild Animal Park in Chittenango were always something she enjoyed.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years Carl, two daughters Charityann M. Tompkins and Rebecca L. Tompkins, 2 brothers David Hill and Joe Hill. Avis requested no services. Contributions may be made the Humane Society.
