Anne Sievers Obituary

Anne (Gregory) Sievers, 69, of Rochester, NY found comfort and peace with the Lord on February 19, 2020, at the home of her son in Jordan, NY after a courageous battle with Bulbar ALS. Anne was born October 26, 1950 to the late Harold “Buzz” and Martha Jo (Starbuck) Gregory in Wilmington, Ohio and had immensely enjoyed living in Rochester since moving there 20 years ago from Colorado. She was a devoted member of the Third Presbyterian Church and dedicated sister to the mission of P.E.O.; having held many roles within each organization. She was an avid reader and a prolific knitter who often crafted while cheering on her beloved Denver Broncos. Anne is survived by her only child, a son, Craig (Leanne) Sievers; one grandchild: Nicholas Elway Sievers; one sister: Susan (Nial) Henry of Sabina, OH; one brother: Rev. David (Tripp Hanson) Gregory of Novato, CA; her two grandkids: Grace and Soren Pitsenbarger, along with several nieces and nephews.

At the request of Ms. Sievers, there will be no services but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date by David Gregory. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anne Sievers may be made to: Hospice Foundation of Central NY, the ALS Association Upstate NY Chapter, and the Jordan Volunteer Fire Department.
