Thomas A. Jenks, 73, of Elbridge, NY, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2018 surrounded by his family. Tom was born on January 16, 1945 in Burlington, VT to Paul and Patricia Jenks. He graduated from Waterloo High School and Clarkson University. He was a chemist with Bristol-Myers in Syracuse and a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Elbridge Fire Department. Tom enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, hiking in the Adirondacks, and tinkering with his tools in and around the house. He was a crossword fanatic, completing the Sunday New York Times every week.
Tom was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janet Jenks; his daughter Amanda (Dirk) van Heyst, son Nathan (Mark Tumiel) Jenks, and daughter Rebecca Jenks; his grandchildren Ryan, Ally and Emma van Heyst; his siblings Kathy (Bill) Harm, Peg Durnin, and Mike (Linda) Jenks; and his many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and brother, Richard.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 18 from 1-4PM at Bush Funeral Home, 120 E Main St, Elbridge immediately followed by a reception for family and friends at the Elbridge Firehouse, 275 E Main St, Elbridge..
