Stanley R. English 90 of Elbridge passed away Monday at Auburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.  He was a native of Groton and a graduate of Groton High School.

Stan was employed as a design draftsman at General Electric and at Welch Allyn before retiring. He served in the Army during WW II. Stan was a member of the Elbridge Community Church. He took great pride in building experimental aircraft which he flew out of the Weedsport airport. Stan was predeceased by his parents DeForest and Anna, a son Steven, a daughter Barbara, and a sister Barbara.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Shirley Lindley English,

3 daughters Bonnie (Fred) MacCollum of Elbridge, Patricia (Stephen) Jordan of Cortland, and Susan English of Harrisonburg, Va. a daughter-in-law Irene, a brother Phillip of Groton, 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Services will be private. Burial will be in Groton Cemetery. The Bush Funeral Home of Elbridge has charge of arrangements.
