Frederick H. “Bud” Ceratt, 92, of Jordan passed away Friday in Upstate University Hospital from injuries suffered following a fall. He was the son of Harry G. and Edith Eckert Ceratt and a life resident of the Jordan area. Bud retired in 1985 after 39 years with New York Telephone/Verizon. For the past 40 years he was the proud owner of Brookfield Stables. He was an Army Air Corps veteran having served during WW II. Bud was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the US Harness Horse Association.
Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Virginia Doyle Ceratt, sons Fritz (Margaret) and Jeffrey (Andrea), daughters Cynthia (Michael) Weirs and Penelope Ceratt and Chrystal (Michael) Barrigar , a granddaughter he considered his third daughter, sisters Virginia Greeley and Jeanne (Harold) Liddy, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 4-8pm Wednesday, June 13th at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. (Rt. 5) Elbridge. Funeral will be 11am Thursday in Christ Episcopal Church 25 N. Main St. Jordan.
