Brent B. Somes

Brent B. Somes, 50, a lifelong resident of Jordan-Elbridge passed away on Friday November 16th surrounded by loved ones. He was employed by Town Mechanical. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends attending most local sporting events, coaching sports teams, playing poker, and supporting his favorite professional teams; the Dallas Cowboys, Syracuse Basketball Team, and NASCAR. Brent is survived by his wife of 28 years Brenda (Pennell) Somes, children; Jessica (Morgan) Town, Matthew, and Emily; parents Gary and Linda Somes; grandparents; Barton and Shirley (Honey) Somes and Jean McChesney; sister Suzanne (Dan) May, brother Pete (Laura) Somes, and twin brother Bruce (Amanda) Somes; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and a first grandchild expected to arrive April 2019. Calling hours will be held at Bush Funeral Home in Elbridge on Friday November 23 from 3-7 pm. Funeral services will be held at Jordan United Methodist Church on Saturday November 24 at 11 am with a celebration of Brent’s life to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions to help with Emily’s college expenses would be appreciated.
