Sylvia A. Goss 79 of Elbridge died peacefully Saturday in Auburn Community Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born in Stirling, NJ, Sylvia raised her family and lived for many years in Piscataway, NJ before moving to the town of Sennett with her husband George, then settling in Elbridge for the remainder of her life.

Sylvia was loved by all who met her. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her family. She worked for many years as a secretary to the Chief Administrator at the Veterans Administration in Lyons, NJ.

She was predeceased by her husband, George in 2009.

Surviving are three children Timothy (Elizabeth) Goss of Clinton, NJ, Elaine Goss of Elbridge, and Patricia Tankus of Elbridge, five grandchildren Erin, Colin, Jonathan, Evan, Alley and one great granddaughter Bera.

Calling hours will be 5-7 pm Monday Feb. 8, 2016 at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. (Rt. 5) Elbridge with a service to follow at 7pm. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in
