Shirley E. Erickson 77 of Elbridge passed away Thursday in Auburn Community Hospital. Born in Saranac Lake, Shirley later moved to Elbridge. She formerly worked at Camillus Cutlery and the Miller Bottling Plant. After retirement, Shirley became a Home Health Care provider- a position she enjoyed very much because it allowed her the opportunity to help people. Shirley was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Jordan and a member of the Camillus Elks Auxiliary.

She was predeceased by her husband John “Jack” Erickson, step-daughter Kathleen Pierce, great granddaughter Brittany Pierce, mother Charlotte Brennan, father Girard Russell, sister Brenda McCabe, and brother Albert Russell.

Surviving are a son Paul Erickson, a daughter Theresa “Tracy” Torres, step-son John Erickson, a brother Richard Brennan, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be 3-6pm Tuesday at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. (Rt. 5) Elbridge with a service to follow at 6:00pm with the Rev. John DeLorenzo officiating.

Spring burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St. Syracuse, NY 13204.
