Shirley English Obituary

Shirley E. English, 88, of Elbridge passed away Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Cortland on Oct. 1, 1929, she was the daughter of Leo and Vena Wilson Lindley. Shirley and her late husband Stanley moved to Elbridge in 1965. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by daughter Barbara and son Steven. Shirley was formerly employed by OCM BOCES and Jordan Elbridge School District. She was a member of the Elbridge Community Church.

Surviving are 3 daughters Bonnie (Fred) MacCollum of Elbridge, Patricia (Stephen) Jordan of Cortland and Susan English of Harrisonburg, VA, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be in Groton Rural Cemetery later in the spring. Contributions may be made to the Elbridge Community Church Memorial Fund.
