Michael D. Van Gorden 61 of Jordan passed away January 19, 2016 in the V.A. Medical Center. Born on January 18, 1955, he was a life resident of Jordan. He attended Jordan-Elbridge High School and in 1971 he enlisted in the US Army. Following being honorably discharged, he went on to work at General Electric and later at Electrical Testing & Maintenance, Inc. Michael was predeceased by his father Dennis O. Van Gorden in 2008.

Surviving are his sons Michael Paul and Marcus Van Gorden, 2 grandsons Mason and Brenden, his mother Agnes Van Gorden, 5 sisters Bonnie (George) Mangicaro, Kathleen Troast, Dee (James) Iozzia, Kelley (Kevin) Clifford, Cole (Donald) Petrocci, 2 brothers Dee (Kathy Jo) Van Gorden and Matthew (Jennifer) Van Gorden, and many nieces and nephews. Michael will be greatly missed by all who knew him and his awesome sense of humor.

Calling hours will be 2-4pm Saturday at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. (Rt. 5) Elbridge with a Catholic prayer service to follow at 4pm. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
