Mary Elizabeth Bateman, 84 formerly of Jordan passed away Tuesday in Auburn Community Hospital. Born in Syracuse, Mary Elizabeth lived in Jordan most of her life. She retired after 41 years of employment with the Jordan School District and later the Jordan-Elbridge School District in the food service area. She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Jordan and a member of the Altar-Rosary Society. Mary Elizabeth was active in the J-E Senior Citizens and the Friends of the Jordan Bramley Library. Surviving are her sister Kathleen (Robert) Hinman, nephew David (Margie) Hinman, great niece Jessica Hinman and cousins. Calling hours will be 4-7pm Friday at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. (Rt. 5) Elbridge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Saturday in St. Patrick’s Church. Spring burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Contributions may be to St. Patrick’s Church or the Jordan Bramley Library.  The family wishes to express its deep appreciation to the residents and staff at Park Terrace at Radisson for the love and care extended to Mary Elizabeth during her stay at Park Terrace.
