John G. St. Pierre 81, of Elbridge passed away Sunday in St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Syracuse John lived most of his life in Central New York. He retired in 1977 from the Syracuse Police Dept. Later John was employed as a union pipe fitter. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957. John was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Jordan. John loved the family camp fires and he was an accomplished wood carver. He was a beloved husband, devoted father and loving grandfather.

He was predeceased by his parents Gaston and Helen, siblings Rita, Ray, Ellen and Mary.

Surviving are his wife Mary Ellen, sons Michael (Lesa), Rick (Michele), Sean (Carrie) daughters Kathy Sluzar, Helen Feldman (Jeff), and Michelle Toomey (Marty), 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10am Thursday, Sept. 14th in St. Patrick’s Church, Jordan. The Rite of Committal and burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4-7pm Wednesday at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. Elbridge. Contributions may be made to the DAV 1604 Burnet Ave. Syracuse 13206.
