Jesse James Rosebush, 21, of Jordan passed away February 19, 2017. Jesse was born in Syracuse on July 11, 1995. He graduated from Jordan-Elbridge High School in 2013, having been involved in varsity soccer, varsity baseball, Jazz band, Drumline, the high school musical and numerous other activities. He was in his third year at SUNY Morrisville, having completed a degree in Residential Construction and he was working toward a second degree in Wood Technology. He worked as a lumberyard manager at Kime Home Center in Oneida, NY.
Jesse is survived by his mother and father Kelly and Kirk Rosebush, his sister Emily Rosebush, maternal grandmother Connie Boyd, paternal grandmother Betty Rosebush, and countless loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
As a lifeguard at the Jordan Veterans Memorial Pool and the Skaneateles YMCA, he lived his life in service to others. Jesse’s compassion was boundless and extended far beyond his circle of friends to everyone he touched. He had a genuine thirst for life and never let any opportunity pass by.
Calling hours will be 3-7pm Thursday at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. (Rt. 5) Elbridge. A celebration of Jesse’s life will be held 11am Friday in Christ Episcopal Church, 25 N. Main St. Jordan. Contributions may be made to the Dollars for Scholars program at Jordan Elbridge High School, P.O. Box 901, Jordan, NY 13080. These funds will support future JE graduates.
