Jane C. Smithers 79 of Elbridge passed away Monday. Born in Ogdensburg, Jane lived in the Jordan-Elbridge area for the last 50 years. She was a graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy and a 1959 graduate of St. Lawrence University. Her husband Robert died in 1989.

Jane was a long standing member of the JE Lions Club and Jordan Study Club and a faithful member of the Jordan United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her daughter Myra (David) McAllister, and 3 grandchildren Casey, Charles, and Claire.

Services will be 11am Friday, July 22, 2016 in the Jordan United Methodist Church with the Rev. Glen Hardman officiating.  Contributions may be made to the Jordan Vol. Fire Dept. 1 N. Hamilton St. Jordan, 13080
