Frank W. Forward 80 of Syracuse passed away on Wednesday. He was born September 6, 1937 to Hervey
D. Forward and Leila Dudden Forward. Frank grew up on the family farm in Camillus. He graduated from Cornell University in 1959. Frank also studied at Columbia Bible College in Columbia, SC and took graduate study at Syracuse University in library science and Asian studies. He did one year of ministry work in Detroit before coming to serve at SU in the main library from 1968 to 2004. Frank was an avid gardener and book reader, and was especially keen on English history. He was the Forward family historian as well as being an active member in SAGE. Frank also served as an election poll worker for many years. Frank is survived by many friends including Charles and Don; and by his family, sister-in-law Waltraud Forward, niece and nephews Hervey Forward, Karen (Tom) Marco, Michael (Donna) Forward, Peter (Rachel) Forward, David Forward, and Douglas Forward. 

Calling hours will be 5-7pm Thursday, Dec. 21st at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. (Rt. 5) Elbridge with a service to immediately follow at 7pm.
