Elsie S. Collard 81 of Elbridge went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 at the Francis House. Born in Skaneateles the daughter of James L. and Margaret Delano Shaver, Elsie formerly lived in Marcellus before moving to Elbridge in 1978. She graduated from Marcellus High School and was a teacher assistant at the former Syracuse Developmental Center for 25 years before retiring in 1985.  Elsie was a long time and faithful member of Second Baptist Church of Auburn. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Edward Collard and two sisters Vivian Hagg and Lois Grennell. Surviving are a step son Martin Collard, 2 brothers James P. Shaver and John N. Shaver, 2 step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Friends may call 5-7 pm Monday at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. (Rt. 5) Elbridge. Funeral will be 11 am Tuesday in Second Baptist Church, 1 N. Herman Ave. Auburn with the Rev. Guy Rathmell officiating. Spring burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Marcellus.
