David L. Baird

David L. Baird, 89, of Jordan, passed away peacefully following a short illness on February 1st at Community General Hospital with family by his side.

David was born in Corry, PA, served in the US Air Force and attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He was District Sale Manager at Nationwide Insurance and was Owner/Operator of Able Driving School in Auburn. David was a loving husband, a devoted father and very proud Grandpa to ten grandchildren. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially time spent with family at the cottage on Cross Lake.

David is survived by his wife Doris of 65 years, his children Brenda Mahar, Jeffrey Baird (Kristi), Steven Baird (Barbara), Kimberly Witter (Lawrence) and brother Bruce Fenster (Yvonne) David was a true gentleman and leaves a legacy of great memories. He will be missed by all!!

Friends are welcome to attend the funeral to be held at the Elbridge Community Church, 109 E. Main St. Monday evening at 7:15pm followed by a Masonic Service. Calling hours will be 3-7pm Monday at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. (Rt.5) Elbridge. Donations may be to the Jordan Masonic Lodge or the Jordan Vol. Fire Dept.
