Christine L. (Sternberg) Wright

Christine L. (Sternberg) Wright 53 of Jordan formerly of Bridgeport passed away peacefully Wednesday November 18th at the Matthew House, Auburn. Born in Syracuse to Junior and Corinne (Shavalier) Sternberg, she grew up in Bridgeport. A 1980 graduate of Chittenango High School, she went on to graduate from Bryant & Stratton College. She worked for The Wladis Companies for over 30 years and was a past PTA treasurer for the Jordan Elbridge School District. Chris loved life, music, and playing foosball. She was well known for her love of dancing.

Chris was predeceased by her parents Junior and Corinne, her sister Constance Jo (1975) and brother Charles (July 2015). She is survived by her companion and love Dave Baker, her children Michael, Jacob, and Lea Wright all at home, her step-daughters Kristin (Lascelles McDaniel) Wright and Sarah (Dave Ketchum) Wright both of Liverpool, grandchildren Aleseya, Lascelles, Aria, Brianna, Luca, Maci, and Gavin, sisters Cheryl (William) LaManche of E. Syracuse, Cynthia Sidari of Clay, sister-in-law Shirley of Ohio, brothers Craig (Lori) of Pulaski, Carl (Patricia) of Chittenango, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Her family was most important to her and she will be greatly missed by her family and countless friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Tuesday in St. Patrick’s Church, North Main St. Jordan. Calling hours will be 4-8 pm Monday at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. (Rt. 5) Elbridge. Donations may be made to the Matthew House, Auburn. The family invites all to attend a luncheon at the church  immediately  following the funeral.
